What's this exam about?
With the combined ICC+B exam, you can obtain two qualifications in a single day: the Croatian Category B boat operator's licence and the internationally recognised ICC — the International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft. This is the most popular option for those who want the freedom to boat not only in Croatia, but in other European waters as well.
The ICC is accepted in 21 European countries, including Croatia, Italy, France, Germany and Austria, covering many of Europe's most popular boating destinations. The same certificate can be used on Lake Balaton, the Danube and in many Mediterranean boating areas. You obtain it once, and it's yours for life — no renewal required.
No previous experience or medical examination is needed, and the exam can be taken from the age of 16. The preparation is held in person and covers the essentials of navigation, maritime signals and regulations, as well as radio communication, so you can arrive at the exam feeling confident and well prepared. Both the course and the exam take place in Slavonski Brod, with an interpreter assisting you throughout — all communication is in English or German. 99% of candidates pass on their first attempt.
The price includes the full preparation, exam fee, study materials, interpretation and administration. All you need to focus on is the exam — leave everything else to me.

DO I NEED ANY PRIOR EXPERIENCE FOR THE ICC+B EXAM?+
No, no prior experience or qualifications are required. The exam can be taken from the age of 16. The preparation starts from scratch — navigation, maritime signals, regulations and radio use; we cover everything you'll need for the exam.
HOW LONG DOES THE PREPARATION TAKE?+
You receive the study materials in advance, so you can review them at home. On the day before the exam, we hold an approximately 6-hour preparation session, followed by a 2-hour revision on the day of the exam.
WHAT LANGUAGE IS THE EXAM HELD IN?+
The exam itself is held in Croatian, but an interpreter accompanies you throughout — all communication is in English or German, so there is no language barrier. The preparation is also held in English or German.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED FOR THE EXAM?+
You will need a valid ID card or passport, a car driving licence — or, if you do not have one, a medical certificate — and 4 passport photos sized 2.5 × 3 cm. Everything else — registration, administration, official paperwork — I handle for you.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY LICENCE?+
On the same day as the exam — in fact, you usually have it in your hands just a few minutes after passing the exam.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STANDARD CATEGORY B AND ICC+B?+
The standard Category B licence is valid on the Adriatic Sea. The ICC+B combines the Croatian Category B licence and the international ICC certificate in a single exam — the latter is recognised by 21 European countries, including Germany, Croatia, Italy, France and Austria.
IS THE ICC VALID ON INLAND WATERS?+
Yes. The ICC is valid on inland waters such as Lake Balaton and the Danube, as well as at sea. If you want the freedom to boat both on inland waters and along the coast, this is the most practical choice.
HOW LONG IS THE ICC+B LICENCE VALID FOR?+
Both certificates are valid for life — neither the Category B licence nor the ICC certificate needs to be renewed. You earn them once, and they remain yours.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?+
The price includes the preparation, exam fee, study materials, interpretation and full administration. All you need to focus on is the exam — leave the rest to me.
