I don't teach the sea. I live it!
I'm Dominik Večaj. I grew up between two countries — born in Zagreb, raised in Budapest, and now based in Zadar. I graduated from the Zadar Maritime Academy in 2018. I started teaching while I was still at the academy, and it has gone hand in hand with my seafaring career ever since.
Some Croatian boat schools are run by people who fell in love with sailing during a few summer holidays and later became instructors. Many of them do it well — but for me, teaching means something different. When you sit down to learn with me, you're being prepared by a professional mariner. Not out of passion alone, but out of vocation. I know what truly matters at sea — and what you only need to pass the exam.
Navissimo is simple: I do two things for candidates in Croatia. First, I prepare you for the Croatian boat licence exam — four categories, from Category B to Yachtmaster A. I teach in Hungarian, German, English, and Croatian, always in person. Whoever starts with me, finishes with me — no instructor changes halfway through. Second, I help you rent a boat — from the Adriatic fleet and beyond. If dealing with a charter company in a foreign language has ever felt like a disadvantage — from now on, that's not your problem. It's mine.

Enough about me — now it's your turn. Send me a message or call me directly — I'll be the one answering.
